Analysis of Physical and Chemical Properties and Reusing of Long Chain Dicarboxylic Acid Fungus Residue

Abstract: The fungus residue of long-chain dicarboxylic acid was used as the research object, and the elemental analysis, infrared spectrum analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and protein content analysis were carried out, the pretreatment of dry fungus residue was studied. The results showed that the composition elements of long-chain dicarboxylic acid fungus residue were mainly C, H, O and N, and the mass fraction of C element was close to 60% at most. The metal elements Ca and Mg were relatively more, while other metal elements were lower. The main functional groups in fungus residue were C=O and O—H, indicating that it mainly contained protein and carbohydrate compounds. The thermogravimetric analysis of fungus residue were divided into three stages: water release, volatile matter release, and carbonization. Using fungus residue as alternative nitrogen source for fermentation to produce long-chain dicarboxylic acids, the yield of long-chain dicarboxylic acids reached 140.6 g·L -1 after 192 h of fermentation.
