Abstract: In view of the difficulty in demulsification of tight oil emulsion, Xinjiang Jimsar tight oil was selected as the research object, and its stability was determined by analyzing the physical properties of crude oil, and the best demulsification conditions were determined. Experiment results demonstrated that the industrial-grade demulsifier 2816-1 achieved a dehydration rate significantly below the required standard. To resolve this, a novel synergistic demulsification strategy was developed as follows: optimized synthesis of a polyacrylic acid-polyester demulsifier, increasing the dehydration rate to 97.9%; introducing oxidant to oxidize the stabilized polymers such as gum and hydroxypropyl guanidine gum in tight oil to weaken the interfacial activity; synergistic effect of pretreatment and demulsifier PE2, achieving 100% dehydration via efficient interfacial film disruption and droplet coalescence, thereby significantly enhancing demulsification efficiency.
