Design and experiment of air-suction peanut seed metering device with auxiliarypressing mechanism

Abstract:Aiming at the problemof seed losscausedbyvibrationinterferenceduring theseed carrying stageof the air-suction peanut seed dispenser,an airsuction peanut seed metering device with an auxiliary presing mechanism was designed.The seed metering device mainlyconsists of aseeding disc,acleaning brush,a presing rod disc,an elastic pressing rod,atrack ring,andanairchambercover.During the working process,it is possibletoasist inseed pressing during the seed carrying stage,reducing therate of seed dropping. Key components such as the seeing tray and pressing mechanism were focusedon design,and the main structural and working parameters of the components were calculated anddetermined.Aperformance testof peanut seed metering device wasconducted onthe seeder test bed,andtheeffects of the pressing mechanism,suction holediameterof the seeder,negative pressureof theair chamber,and rotation speed of the seed metering device on the seeding performance were studied.The experimental results show that the air suction seed metering device withan auxiliary presing mechanism isnotsuitable for long peanut seeds,but ithas good adaptability to spherical peanut seedsandcan improve the stabilityof the seeder in carying seeds.The diameter of the suctionhole,the negativepressureof theairchamber,andthespeedoftheseeding plateallhaveasignificantimpacton theseedingperformance.Themainandsecondaryfactorsthataffectthequalificationratearerankedinorderas the negative pressreof thefan,the diameterof the suction hole,and the speedof the seeding plate.After optimization, when the fan pressure is 5.9kPa ,the suction hole diameter is 6.3mm ,and the seeding disc speed is 25r/min ,the seeding qualification rate is 96.6% ,the missed seeding rate is 3.0% ,and the replay rate is 0.4% . All indicators meet the standard requirementsand have beenverified through tests.
