Abstract:With the increasing useof kelp,the scaleand production of kelp farming have been increasing year by year. Kelpfarming is alaborintensive industry,withhigh labor intensityand highoperational risks inthe harvesting process. Therefore,developing mechanized kelpharvesting equipment isan important solution.Inresponse totheabove problems, thisarticledevelopedamulti-bodykelpharvestingshipbasedonthefloatingraftkelpaquaculturemodeintheNorth.The harvesting device of the ship mainly consists of a lfting beam,a seedling rope hanging device,aconveyor chain,and a kelpcollection platform.Itcanachievesmooth kelpharvestingincomplex workingenvironments,significantlyreducing thelaborintensityof harvesting personnel.The field testresultsshowedthat theactual operational performanceof the multi-bodykelpharvestingcarriershipexceededthedesignrequirements.Among them,theactualoperationspeedand harvesting efficiency both exceed the design indicators by 10% ,the kelp loss rate is 3.25% ,and the per capita harvesting efciencyis12.5times thatof manualharvesting,greatly improving theoperationefficiencyand providingreference for the mechanized harvesting of kelp.
