A Textual Study on the Timing of Jiang Shiquan' s Poetry Burning

Abstract：ManyextantrecordsofJiangShiquanfrequentlymentionthatheburnedthepoems hewroteinimitationofLi Shangyin's styleinhisyouthHoweverterearetwocordictoryountsregadingthtiingoftisvent：estatigitoccuedatteageof17， andtheoteratteeof19Anexamiatioofteeistigditiosndcntentsofhispoetrycoltiossosthatallsurvivigsios beginrecordinghisworksfromteageof20withoutexception.Regardingtheabsenceofoemsbeforetheageof2Oonlydocuntsrelat edtothe“age17urningthory”ecordtecatalysthisprolongedilessandthenewsiuationofissubsequenttwoyearshifttotdyingthe worksofpoetslikeDuFuandHanYuaftertheburning;the“age19burningtheory”hasnosuchrecords.Theexplanationprovidedbythe“age17uingthor”iselativelyorereasoable，anditstmelieisorelogicalloherent.Fromthepespectiveofhen theserecordswereproduced，the“age17uingthory”wasproposedarlierthanthe“age19buingthory，”placingitcloerntie toteactualeventItistereforeighlyprobablethatJiangShiquanburedisLstyleiitationpoesatthegeof7ndteod ofburningthat19bsoiseltioSuchsrecoliseotisolatedisancsineliteraueoflitatifroat period;Jiang'sfriendYuanMialsoleftcontradictoryrecodsregardingthetieandplaceoftheirfriendshipestablishmentdicating this is a fairly common phenomenon of the time.

蒋士钰（1725—1785年），江西铅山人，字心余、清容、苕生，号藏园，是生活于清代雍乾时期的著名文学家，今人提起蒋士钰的文学成就多以其戏曲作品为主，但他除了以戏曲成就闻名以外，还以诗名为盛，与袁枚、赵翼并称为“乾隆三大家”，是乾嘉时期的诗坛领袖之一。（剩余7282字）
