Biological Characteristics of Yimeng Crabapple in Yishui County and Its Intensive Cultivation Techniques

Abstract：Yishui apples are wellknownnationwide，and Yishui County is an important aple-producing region in China.In recent years，theappleindustryhasfaced thecritical taskof adjusting its varietystructure.In 2Ol9，Yimeng Crabapple was intensivelycultivated inXuejiahe Vilage，Sishilipu Town，Yishui County.Afterfive yearsofexperimentalcultivation，there sultsindicatethatthetrees exhibit moderate growthvigor，highbud sproutingrate，relativelylowbranching ability，easyformationof axillaryflowerbuds，andstrong self-fruiting capacity.Thefruits aretallandwellshaped，with an averagesingle fruit weight of about 75g and a soluble solid content of 19% . Under refined management，the fruit surface achieves full red coloration，bright hue，and good glossThe biologicalcharacteristicsofYimeng Crabapple，along withintensivecultivation techniques—including orchard establishment，fertilizer and water management，training and pruning，pest anddiseasecontrol， and detailed pre- and post-harvest handling—are thoroughly summarized for reference.
