Diversity Analysis of Phenotypic Traits in Jujube Germplasm Resources and Comprehensive Evaluation for Simplified Cultivation

Abstract:【Objective】Byanalyzing the phenotypic traits of jujube germplasm resources,this studycomprehensivelyevaluates theirbiologicalcharacteristicsandadaptabilitytosimplifiedcultivation,inordertoscrenoutjujube germplasmresources suitable for simplified cultivation.【Methods】42jujube germplasm resources were usedas test materials.29 phenotypic traits relatedtosimplifiedcultivationweredeterminedandanalyzed,includingtreeshape,igh-yieldpotential,growthvigor,fruit quality,and fruit texture. 【Results】 The results showed that the range of the 29 indicators varied from 0.23% to 100% ,and the coefficient ofvariation(CV)ranged from 7.12% to 98.12% .Fruit cohesiveness had the smallest CV,while the fruit crackingrate hadthe largest CV.Fourteen traits,main branch length,main branchdiameter,main branch internodelength, secondary branch length,secondarybranch diameter,secondarybranchinternodelength,stocks Numberinsecondarybranch, Numberoffruit shoot,Average fruit weigh,cohesiveness,gumminess,fruit pel hardness,and fruit pulp hardness,conformed toanormal distribution.The42 jujube germplasmresources weredivided into7groups atasquared Euclideandistance of75.Germplasms fromdiferent geographicalorigins didnotshowobviousclusteringcharacteristics,indicating minordifferences among resources from diferent regions.Principalcomponentanalysis extracted8 principalcomponents withacumulative contribution rate of 79.45% . Using membership function calculations,ten resources were ultimately screened: Jincheng 1,

Lengbaiyu,Jin’ai3,Dayuanfeng,Guoguang,Lizao,Shizao 3,Zaocuiwang,Tailihong,and Guantanzao.These resources exhibit goodfruitqualityighyieldpotential,robusttreeshape,moderategrowthvigor,andaresuitableforsimplifiedcultivation.【Conclusion】This studyexplored resourceevaluation methods for simplified cultivationandalso reservedsuitablegermplasm resources for further research on simplified cultivation models.
