Abstract:【Objective】Tounderstand thesynergisticefectof diferentconcentrationsof ethephon(ETH)coupled with naphthaleneacetic acid(NAA)on theharvestof‘Wen185’and‘Xinxin 2’walnuts and theoptimalconcentrationcombination. 【Methods】 10- year-old‘Wen 185’and‘Xinxin 2’were used as experimental materials in this study,and the efects of differentconcentrationsofETHandNAAcoupled treatments onthe greenpelcracking rate,leaf yellowing rate,andfruit qualityduring the walnut harvest process were systematicall investigated.【Results】The synergistic efectof ETHand NAAon leaf yellowing and greenpelcracking isconcentration-dependent andvariety-specific.‘Wen185’hadthelowest leaf yellowing rate ≤2.78% )under the E3N2 treatment and maintained a relatively high green pel cracking rate.‘Xinxin 2’hada green peel cracking rate of 72.46% and a leaf yellowing rate of only 5.8% under the E2N2 treatment,with a significant increase in kernel yield to 48.55% . Neither treatment had a significant negative impact on fruit size,fat,protein,total sugar,and other qualityindicators,andsignificantlyincreasedtheproportionofwhiteKernelsandreducedtheproportionofyelowish-brown kernels.【Conclusion】TheE3N2treatment wasthe most efectivefor‘Wen185’walnuts,and theE2N2 treatment was the most effective for‘Xinxin walnuts,both effectively improving fruit quality.
