Abstract:【Objective】To studythecontrol effect feasibility predatory mites carrying Beauueria bassiana spores on harmful mites in appleorchards.【Methods】Inthefield,three treatment plots weresetup:abiologicalcontrolplot(releasing predatory mitescarying Beauveria bassanaspores),achemical control plot,a blank control plot.Periodic surveys were conducted onthe population dynamics eggs pest mites (adult mites,nymphs, larvae)in each treatment plot.The population reductionrate was calculated tocompare thecontrolefectsdiferent measures.【Results】Thechemical control effect was the fastest most significant,with the maximum control efficiency reaching 91% . The biological control effect showed a slowly increasing trend, peaking 2O days after release,with a population reduction rate 36.8% ,which was a highly significant difference ( P<0.05 )compared with the blank control plot(with a reduction rate -96% ). 【Conclusion】Using predatory mitescarrying Beauoeria bassiana spores tocontrol harmful mites inapple orchards hasagood control effect,but external factors have certain impacts on the control efficacy.
