Abstract:【Objective】Green husks of mature walnuts were extracted usingdiferent extractants,and theinhibitory effect of walnutgreen husk extracts onValsa mali (the pathogencausing apple valsa canker)was investigated,so as to provide theoreticalsupport forthedevelopmentofbacteriostatic agents basedon thereuseof waste walnut green husk resources.【Methods】Taking Valsa malias the testtarget,the grenhusks of mature walnuts were extracted with petroleum ether,ethylace tate,methanol and ethanol at different concentrations ( 25% , 50% , 75% , 100%) . The obtained walnut green husk extracts were thenused todeterminetheirinhibitory efects on the mycelial growthofValsa mali.【Results】Theextracts obtainedusing methanolas theextractant showed thebest extraction eficiencyforthebacteriostaticcomponentsagainst Valsa maliThe bacteriostatic substances in walnut green husks included both water-solubleandorganic solvent-solublecompounds,withthe optimal extraction efectachieved when the volumes of waterand organic solvent were equal.【Conclusion】The walnut green husk extract obtained by 50% methanol exhibited the strongest inhibitory effect on Valsa mali,with the maximum inhibition rate reaching 88.7% and an EC5O value of 0.223.
