Research Progress on Rapid Propagation Technology of Prunus humilis

Abstract：Prunus humilis is aunique dwarf shrubby fruit treeof the genus Prunus （Rosaceae）native to China.This species exhibits strong ecological adaptability，being capable of growing in areas with low temperatures down to -35°C ，arid and semi-aridregions，as wellassaline-alkali soilswith pHbelow8.5，thus serving asa pioneer treespecies for windbreak，sand fixationandsoilandwaterconservation.Asafruittreeresourceendemic toChina withbothhighnutritionalvalueandecologicalfunctions，theindustrializationofPrunus humilisishighlydependentonbreakthroughs ineficientpropagationtecholo gies.To overcomethebottlenecks inwildresourcedomesticationand industrialization，Theresearch progress ofivemajor propagationtechnologiesofPrunushumilis issystematicallreviewed inthis paper.Byintegratingnearly40yearsofbreeding achievements（16registeredcultivars），technicalparadigmsare provided forgermplasmresourcedevelopmentandthecoordinated developmentofecologicalandeconomic benefits，promoting Prunus humilistobecomeacharacteristicindustrialcarrier for the rural vitalization strategy.
