Abstract:【Objective】 This study aimed to investigate the regulatory effect of 6- Benzylaminopurine (6-BA) on the sprouting of lateral branches in central leader-trained Prunus simoni ×P . armeniaca.【Methods】 Using three-year-old Prunus simonii ×P .armeniaca trees as experimental material,treatments with O,4Oo,6oo,and 800mg⋅L-1 6-BA were designed.Keyindicators,includingthenumberofsproutedlateralbranchesandthegrowthincrementofthecentralleaderand lateral branches,were measured. 【Results】 The results showed that treatments with 400 and 600mg⋅L-1 6—BA significantly promoted the sproutingof lateral branches,increasing itby 9.1 to12 times compared to theCK. In contrast,the 800mg ·L-1 treatment exhibiteda marginal efect.Inthetreatment groups,thegrowth inhibitionrate of thecentral leader reached 12.4% to 16.1% ,and the growth increment of lateral branches decreased by 24.8% to 36.2% . 【Conclusion】Comprehensive analysis revealed that 600mg⋅L-1 6-BA ,while ensuring an effective number of branches (12 per plant),achieved a balance between the growth of the central leader (79.1cm) and lateral branches ⟨34.8cm⟩ ,making it the ideal concentration for constructing the central leader form in Prunus simonii ×P . armeniaca.
