Robot-assisted laparoscopic nephroureterectomy for horseshoe kidney with upper tract urothelial carcinoma： a case report

AbstractHorseshoekidneyisoneof temostcommoncongenitalanomaliesoftheupperurinarytractMostpatientsareasymptomatic butheyfacesignificantlyhgherisksofurinarysystemtumors，infections，andpyeloureteralobstructioncomparedtotenals. Although horseshoekideyisafrequentfusionanomalyoncurentenalpelvis tumorsareexceeinglyare，andnotadardized diagnosticortherapeuticgudelisexistdmesticalloiteatioall.Hereineeportaasf59yearoldfmaleprsegit intermitentgrosshematuriaforfourmonths.ContrastenancedCTandthre-dimensionalimagingindicatedahorseshoekidneywith aleftrenalpelvicmas.Cystoscpyshowednadditionallsons.Thepatientfallyunderwentrobot-asistedlaparosopicuilateal nephroureterectomy.The procedure went smoothly with an estimated blood loss of approximately 50mL and a surgical duration of about 120min .Postoperative pathology confirmed high-grade papillry urothelial carcinoma of the renal pelvis，staged as pT2N0M0 .After threemonth follow-up，routine bloodtestandliver/kidneyfunctionofthe patient were normal，with nocomplications observed.
