Abstract：Academic research must maintain objectivity，but true objectivity does not come from illusory value neutrality，but from anaccurate description of theinherent logicof history itself.This article takes a perspective of standing abovehistoryto conduct an in-depth comparison between Chinese unification andEuropeandivision：Europeandivisionbroughtabout fiercecompetitionandwar，butitalsogavebirthto theRenaissance，the AgeofDiscovery，andthe ScientificRevolutionand inmodern times，itspreaditsdevelopment model globally；Chinese unification brought about peaceful development，economies of scale，and cultural continuity，but italso suppressed the spiritof innovation，leading to thefailureofascientific andindustrial revolution inmodern times. China and Europe arelike two giant modelsthat have continuously evolved and strengthened along the paths ofunification and di ver thousandsofyearsofhistory，ul timatelyforming twocompletelydifferent and extremelyresilient civilizations.Therefore，the histories of China and Europe have completely different underlying logicand patterns of development.
