[Abstract] Hyperinsulinemia is a major metaboliccomplication in patients with diabetes melitus.Previous studies have shown that hyperinsulinemia is associated withthe occurrence and progression of malignant tumors.Insulin like growth factor-1（IGF-1）signalaxishas beenconfirmedtoplayaregulatoryrolein thephysiological behaviorof tumor cells such as proliferation andapoptosis.Abnormal activation of this pathway maybe an important wayto aggravate thepathophysiological progressof malignant tumors.Thispaper systematicallyreviews the clinical epidemiological characteristics of diabetes melitus complicated with lungcancer，anddeeply discusses the independenttumor promoting mechanism of hyperinsulinemia and IGF-1 pathway in diabetes melitus complicated with lung cancer，soasto provideatheoretical basis for early screening，precise treatment and prognosis improvement of patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with lung cancer.
