TheRehabilitation Effect of Acupoint Plaster Application in Elderly Pa·tientswith Gestational DiabetesMellitus

DONGChunlei，HUHongzhuan Department of Obstetrics，Shouguang People's Hospital， Shouguang 2627Oo，Shandong， China [Abstract] Objective To explore the rehabilitation effect of acupoint plaster application in elderly pregnant women withgestational diabetesmelitus.MethodsAtotalof86 elderlypregnant womenwithgestational diabetesmelitus who were treated inShouguang People's Hospital from February 2O24 to January 2025 were conveniently selected as the subjects.They were divided intotwo groups according to diferent treatment methods，with 43 cases in each group. The control groupreceivedconventionaltreatmentand strengthenedblood sugarcontrol forpatients，while theobservationgroup received acupoint plasterapplication in combination.Theefects ofthe two groups wereevaluated after 42 days of intervention.Theislet β- cell function，blood glucose levels，mode ofdeliveryand maternaland infantoutcomes were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention， the islet β- cell functionindex of both groups was higher than that before intervention，and fasting insulin，insulinresistance index，fasting blood glucose， 2- hour postprandialblood glucose，andglycated hemoglobinAlcwereallower thanbeforeintervention，theindicators in theobservation group were better than those inthecontrol group，and the diferences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group was higher than thatin the control group，and the incidence of adversematernal and infant outcomes was lowerthan thatinthecontrol group，and thediferences were statistically significant （all P<0.05 ）.Conclusion Acupoint plaster application is efective for elderly pregnant women with gestational diabetes melitus，can improve patients’self-care level，reduce adverse maternaland infantoutcomes and cesarean section rate，and help lower patients‘blood glucose levels.
