The Application of a Nursing Intervention Plan Based on the Protection Motivation Theory in Improving the Nursing Compliance of Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy

Department ofOphthalmology，Subei People's Hospital，Jiangsu Province，Yangzhou 225ooo，Jiangsu，China [Abstract]ObjectiveTo exploretheapplication efectofthenursing intervention scheme basedon protectionmotivation theory in improving the nursing compliance of patients with diabetic retinopathy（DR）.MethodsA totalof 84DR patients admited to Subei People's Hospital fromFebruary2022 to August 2024 were conveniently selected and divided intocontrol group （receiving routine nursing mode）and observation group （receiving nursing intervention program basedon protection motivation theory）according to diffrent nursing methods，with 42 cases in each group.The hope level， blood glucose level and medication compliance of the two groups were compared.Results After nursing， compared with the control group，the levelsoffasting plasma glucose，2-hour postprandial plasma glucoseand glyco sylated hemoglobinAlcintheobservation group were lower，andthescoresandtotal scoresof hopelevelandmedicationcompliance were higher，the differences were statisticallysignificant（all P<0.05 ）.Conclusion The nursing interventionschemebasedonprotection motivation theorycanefectivelyreduce the blood glucose levelsof DR patients， improve their hope levels，and significantly improve their medication compliance.
