Exploration on the teaching reform of General Ecology course based on the OBE concept

AbstractTocultivatehigh quality talents inecology,thispaper analyzed thecurent teaching situationof the General Ecologycourseandcarriedout explorationon teaching reform basedontheOBEconcept.There was stillroom forimprovement in thecourseregarding teaching philosophy,curiculum ideological and political education,and assessment methods,basedonwhich targeted reform countermeasures wereput forward.At the level of teaching philosophy,thedominant position of studentsandtheir ability toapply knowledge were strengthened by expanding teaching methods,optimizing course content,adding in-class exercises,and introducing project-based guidance.In terms of curriculum ideological andpolitical education,the ideological and politicalconnotations were systematically exploredandacase library was constructed toachieve theorganic integration of professional knowledge imparting and valueguidance.For the assessment and evaluation,a process-oriented and diversified assessment system was established;the weight distribution of scores was optimized,and peer evaluationwas introduced to improve the scientificityof evaluation.Thepractical resultsshowedthatthe interactivityandstudents’participationofreformed classes were significantly improved, the overall scores of students increased by 18% compared with those before the reform,more than 9O%of thestudents achieved the presetlearning objectives,theirenthusiasm for actively participating in scientificresearch and innovation activities was enhanced,and the matching degree between course objectives and learning outcomes was significantly improved.This paper provides areferenceforthe teaching reform ofrelated ecology courses.
