High yield cultivation techniques for summer soybeans in Southwestern Shandong Province

AbstractBased on summer soybean production practices in Southwestern Shandong Province,the key points of high yield cultivation techniques and their application outcomes were summarized and analyzed.The core cultivation techniques include selecting disease-resistant, high qualityvarieties suitable for mechanical harvesting,suchas Yundou No.1,with seed selectionand chemical treatment before sowing;using no-tillstraw mulching precision seeders to accomplish sowing,side-deep fertilization,and straw mulching inasingleoperation,targetinga planting densityof approximately 250 Ooo plants/hm²; focusing onmoisture management during critical growth stages,namely seedling emergence,flowering-podding,and grain filing;emphasizing theapplication of compound fertilizers through seedfertilizersynchronization at sowing,supplemented by topdressng during grain filling and foliar nutrient application; implementing pre-sowing soil-sealing weed control and applying targeted pesticides at4 keystages (post-emergence, pre-flowering,post-flowering,and podding)for comprehensively prevent and control diseases and pests such as aphids; and timely harvesting with specialized machinery when grain moisture content falls below 18% .From 2022 to 2024, continuous high yield soybean demonstrations were carriedout on lime concretion black soil fields (following wheat) in Jining,Shandong,achieving actual yields ranging from 4344.0 to 4643.1kg/hm2 .This model demonstrates significant potential for highand stable yields inthestudyarea,providingareferenceforfurther exploring soybean high yield potential.
