Effects of compound probiotics on growth and slaughter performance of Sanhuang chickens

AbstractTo explore the efects of adding compound probiotics to the dieton therearing of Sanhuang chickens, 200 one-day-old Sanhuang chickens were randomly divided into 4 groups (5 replicates per group,1O chickens per replicate).Each group was fedabasaldietsupplemented with O(control),0.5,1.0,and1.5g/kg ofcompound probiotics (Composed of Bacillus licheniformisandBacillussubtilis),respectively.The averagedailyweight gain,average dailyfeed intakeand other growth performance indicators,aswell asantioxidantcapacity indicators such ascatalase and malondialdehyde,and slaughter performance indicators suchasslaughter weight,slaughterrate,and half-carcass weight were measured for each group of chickens.The results showed that,(1)compared with the control group,the final body weight,average dailyweight gainandaveragedailyfeed intake of the compoundprobiotics added groups were significantly increased( P
