Optimization researchand practiceon the experimental systemofHorticultural Germplasm Resourcesand Classification course

AbstractTocultivate high quality horticulturaltalents,this paper analyzed theaspects to beoptimized in the experimental teaching of thecourse Horticultural Germplasm Resources and Clasification,including content conection, teaching methods,and evaluation system,and carried out reform practices from the corresponding dimensions.The current situation was mainlycharacterized by limited experimental class hours coupled with a wide coverage of teaching content,whichresulted inpoorconnectionbetweentheoreticaland experimental teaching;insufficientinteractivityof the teaching mode,which required further improvement of students’enthusiasm for clasroom participation; and overrelianceonattendance rateand experimental reports intheevaluation method,which made itdificult to comprehensively asssstudents’mastery of knowledge. Based on these issues,this paper conducted teaching reforms from3aspects.Interms of teaching content,3core experimental modules were constructed,namely horticultural plant identification,plantandspecimenidentification,and plantorganobservation,analysisandidentification,tostrengthen the integrationof theoryand practice.In terms of teaching methods,online resources were integrated byrelying on intellgent teaching platforms;case-based teaching wasadopted to deepen thecombination of theoryand practice; online courses were developed to break therestrictions of seasons and regions;and ideological and political elements were incorporated torealize value guidance.Intermsof the evaluation system,aproces-oriented assessmentmodel was established,with detailedprocessassessment indicatorsandaditional points foronline learning added.Teaching practice showedthatafterthereform,thenumberofstudents takingthecourseincreased from15to59,thestudents' teaching evaluationscore rose from 89.43 to 97.61,and the proportion of students who expressed“very satisfied” increased from 35.71% to 87.27% ,which effectively enhanced the course attractiveness and teaching quality. This paper provided a reference for the teaching reform of experimental courses in horticultural majors.
