Abstract:This study explores the phenomenon of performance differences in SPHC hot-rolled steel coils from the samebatchand processed using thesame hot-roling technique.Itisfoundthatdiferent cooling methods (pilecoils slow cooling andaircoling)aftercoiling are the main factors affcting performance.Through mechanical propertytesting and metallographic structureanalysis of steel coilssubjected todiferent cooling methods aftercoiling,theresults indicate thattheaverageyieldstrengthof thepilecoilsslowcooling steelcoilis272.4MPa,andtheaverage tensilestrength is 332.8 MPa; forthe aircooling stelcoil,the average yield strength is3O7.9 MPa,and theaverage tensile strength is 354.1 MPa.The ferrite grain sizeof thepilecoils slowcooling steelcoil is grade8,while thatoftheaircooling steel coil is grade9.Thestudyrevealsthatdiferentcolingmethodsaffectgraingrowthbehavior,whichisthefundamentalreason for the differences in mechanical properties.
