Abstract：Inthecontextofrapidurbanization，many historic blocks havebeenpainted in bright moderncolors，new shopsigns haveobscuredtraditional doorsand windows，andresidentshavebeen forcedtodestroyexisting facades inordertoimprove lighting，thesedesignsaredificulttoprotectprecious historical memorybutalsodiicult tomettheneesofmoderlife. Therefore，this paper discusss howtoenhance the vitalityofthe block underthe premiseof inheriting the traditional color， focusing onthecaseofJiayi StreetinChangshatoexplore howtomaketheoldbuildingsretaintheclasiccharm，itcanalso adapttothenewmethodofstore managementandcomfortablelifeofresidents，aiming toprovideafeasible solution for the historical district that is stuck in protection.
