Abstract:This paper focuses on theculturalartifacts from the ancientcollctionof the Kong Family Mansion,analyzing thecultural foundationsof traditionalChinesecolorsandtheir manifestations intheseartifacts.Traditional Chinesecolors, deeply influencedbynature,evolved intoafive-colorsystem—green-blue,red,yelow,white,andblack—whichunderwent dynamic transformationsacrossdynasties.The KongFamily Mansion’sartifacts,comprising heirloomhousehold items and ritualvesselspreservedbyConfucius’descendants,eflectthecraftsmanship,socio-culturalcontexts,andpolitical-religious ideologies of different historical periods,while embodying Confucian principles and hierarchical order.Through analyzing thechromatic schemes of threerepresentative artifacts—the MingDynasty Wanli-era blue satin brocade python robe,theQing Dynasty Yongzheng-era yelow-ground enamelsacrificialoferings with painted peony motifs,and the Qing Dynasty Qianlongerafamill-rose"Fortune,ProsperityLongevitydereadvasetisstudyreveals tepivotaloleofolorinestticsand culturalcontinuityofering traditionalchromaticaestheticsasareferenceforcontemporarydesignandartisticceation.
