Abstract： This studyuses 238species ofshelfshresources from the Dongtou Archipelago assamples，focusing on the provincial intangibleculturalheritagecraftofDongtoushellcarvingpaintingsinZhejiangProvince.Itexaminestheircolorcharacteristics andreveal theinfluenceoftheculturalintegrationofMinnanandDongouontheirstyle.Thepapercentersonthecolorexpreion oftraditionalshellcarvingpaintingsandanalyzesthemechanismoftheirtransformationfromnaturalmaterialsintoanartistic languagefromthedimensionsof"resourcesstyletexture."Thatis，regionalresourcesprovideanaturalcolorsystem，artisans' colorchoicescreate acorespondence btween subjects and shellcolors，andthecombinationof natural textureandcolorgives the worksathre-dimensioalvisualtexture.Onthisbasis，thepaperoutlines thelogicand techiquesofcolorapplicationinshel carving，suchasolormating，blendngithpatesandtchiquesforthe-dmensioalolorsaping.Finallyitproose three major insightsforcontemporarydsign：promotinggreendesign，expandingvisualexpresion，andehancingthecultural attributesofproducts.Thisstudyflsagapitheaestheticsofshellcarvingcolorandprovidesareferencefornaturalmaterialcolor systems in the inheritance of intangiblecultural heritage and contemporary design.
