Dynamics of waterfowl community in Chenhu Wetland Nature Reserve in Wuhan City from 2005 to 2021

Abstract：Basedonlong-termfixed-pontobservationdata，thelong-termdynamicsof thewaterbirdcommunitysincetheestablishmentoftheChenhu WetlandNatureReservewereanalyzed.ItwasfoundthathenumberofspeciesandindividualsintheChenhuwetlandwaterbirdcommunityincreasedsignificantlyfrom2O05to2O21，withafluctuatingincreaseinspeciesdiversityidices.Winter migratorybirdsconstitutedthemajorityofthecommunity，withwaderspredominatingintermsofspeciescountandswimmingbirds in termsofindividalcount.Thespeciescountofomnivorouswaterbirdswasdominant，andthecompositionofindividualcounthadshiftedfromhavingnocleardominanttypetoapredominanceofherbivores.TheAnseriformesandCharadriformeswerethedominatordersinthewaterbirdcommunity.Thenumberofdominantspecies inthewaterbirdcommunitygraduallydecreasedafter2015.The waterbirdcommunityunderwenttwostages：aperiodofsignificantchanges inspeciescompositionandaperiodofminorchanges in speciescomposition.Endangeredandrare waterbirdspecieswereobservedannuallinChenhu Wetlandfrom2005to2O21.After 2017，thenumberofendangeredandrarewaterbirdspeciesbegantosteadilyincrease，anduniquewaterbirdspecieswereobserved annually after 2018.
