Effects of lime application on selenium speciation in selenium-rich soil and selenium accumulation in sorghumin the Southwestkarst region

Abstract:Aimigattheproblemofhighseleniumcontentbutlowbioavailabilityinselenum-richsoilintheSouthwestkarstregion,a potexperimentwasconductedwithtreatmentsofnolimeappication(CK)andfivelimeapplicationgradients(T1~T5,ading5,10, 20,30, 40g lime per 9 kg soil,respectively)to explore the efects on soil pH,seleniumspeciation transformation,selenium availability,and selenium uptake and accumulation in sorghum.The results showed that lime application increased soil pH ,promoted the transformationoforganicallcombinedseleniumtowatersolubleseleniumandexchangeableselenium,andincreasedthecontentf availableselenum insoil.Appropriatelimeaplicationsignificantlyenhancedtheaccumulationlevelsofselenuminsogmrots and grains,with the maximumincrease reaching 78.57% and 67.19% ,respectively.Correlationanalysis indicated that the contentof availableseleniuminsoilwasakeyfactoraffctingseleniumuptakeinsorghum,showingastrogpositivecorelationwithselenum contentirotsndgains.Teselenumcontentinotsadastrongnegaivecorelationiththecontentoforganicallyombiedelenium,whilethselenumcotentingainshdaeakcorrelationithoranicallyombiedselen.Intettedidicsele richsoil,applying 20~30g lime(per 9 kg soil) effectively improved the bioavailabilityof selenium and promoted seleniumaccumulationincrops,andinpracticalapplication,thisdosagerangecouldberefeedtoithadaptiveadjustmentsbasedontespcificacidiccharacteristics of the soil.

硒是维持人类健康重要的微量元素,具有抗氧化、延缓衰老、防治癌症、拮抗重金属毒性等功效]人体主要通过饮食摄取硒2,而土壤是硒的主要储存库,因此,土壤中硒的富集水平对食物硒含量及人类健康起着重要的作用[3-5]。(剩余8949字)
