Effects of ecological products on people’s well-being in the Yi River Basin

Abstract：Toexplore thecorelationcharacteristicsandimpactmechanismsbetween eological productsand people'swell-eingin theYiRiver Basin，this studytook Luanchuan County，SongCounty，Yichuan County，andYanshi Districtfrom theuppertolower reaches oftheYiRiverBasinasthestudyarea.Fieldinvestigationsandquestionnairesurveys wereconductedamonglocalresidents， with 400validquestionnirescollcted.Onthisbasis，anevaluationindexsystemforpeople’swellbeingwasconstructedusigthe analytichierarchyprocess（AH），ndSpearan’snkcorelatiocoeficntanddarchrtsereemployedtoaalythcoelationcharacteristicsbetwentheimportanceofecologicalproductsandpeople’sell-eing.TheresultsshowedthatresidentsintheYi RiverBasinrecognizedtheimportanceofecologicalproductsinthefolowingdescendingorder：agriculturalproductsandwaterresources，regulatingserviceproducts，culturalserviceproducts，andforestryproducts.Thelevelofpeople’swell-beingfromhighto lowwasYanshi District，Luanchuan County，Yichuan County，andSong County，with factorssuchas housing，dailynecesities， health status，and medicalservices havingagreaterimpactonpeople’swell-eing.People’swell-being was mostcloselyrelatedto waterresources，followdbyeologicalregulatingserviceproductsandagriculturalproducts.TheecologicalproductsintheYiRiver Basinwerecloselyrelatedtopeople’swellbeing.Measuressuchasenhancingpeople’sawarenessoftheimportanceofecological products，explorigefectivepathwaysforrealizingtevalueofeologialproductsandestablshingdowstream-toupstreamolog icalcompensationmechanismscouldotonlycontrbutetotheprotectionanddevelopmentofcologicalproductsbutalsoprootethe synergistic enhancement of ecological benefits and people's well-being.
