Land use dynamics and landscape pattern evolution in the Dongjiang River source area from 2000 to 2020

Abstract:Toreveal teresponse mechanismsoflanduseandlandscapepaterntothedualpressuresofrapidurbanizationandecologicalprotectionintheDngjiangRiversourcearea,basedonLandsatremotesensing imagesfrom2o,2010,and2020,thisstudy quantitativelyanalyzedthecharacteristicsoflandusechangeandtheevolutionofthelandscapepaternintheDongjiangRiverource areabyusingthetransfermatrixanddynamicdegreemodel.Theresultssowedthatsignificantchangesocurediandustypein thestudyareafrom2OOto220.Theconversionbetwencultivatedlandandforestlandwasthemostprominent,whiletedegreeof conversionamong otherlanduse typeswaslower,thoughcertainchangingtrends werestillobserved.Cultivatedlandandforestland werethe dominantlanduse types.Therateoflandusechange showedanupward trendfrom 2OoOto2O2O,andthecomprehensive land usedynamic degree increased from 0.14%/year during 2000-2010 to 0.39%/year during 2010-2020,a rise of 178.6% ,indicatingthateregionallandsystemtransitionedfromaphaseof“slowadjustment”tooneof“acceleratedrestructuring".Athelandscape level,theevolutionofthelandscapepaternwascharacterizedbyanincreaseinpatchensityandlandscapefragmentationarisein landscapediversitywithatrendtowardsmorebalancedspatialdistribution,andadecreaseinlandscapeconnectivityleadingtowards diferentiation.Atthelandusetypelevel,thefragmentationofcultivatedlandandforestlandwasprominent,thedistributionand shapeofcultivatedlandbecamemoreregular,theforestlandlandscapestructureevolvedfromrelativelyintacttofragmentedandarti ficial,grasland fragmentation intensified,andconstructionland expansion was obvious withsimplified morphology.
