Sustainable development strategies for fish stock enhancement by small and medium-scale freshwater aquaculture farmers

Abstract：Smalland medium-scale freshwater aquaculture farmers are the basic unit of China’s freshwater fishery production system. Their fish stock enhancement activities are directly related to the balance of regional fishery resources and the vitality of rural industries. Currently，these farmers face problems such as blind selection of germplasm， mismatched ecological carrying capacity，and fragmented application of technologies during the stock enhancement process，which restrict sustainable development. From a professional and technical perspective，this paper analyzes the importance of fish stock enhancement by small and medium一scale farmers，examines the core existing issues，and then proposes targeted strategies including adaptive germplasm screening， dynamic regulation of ecological carrying capacity，and technology extension for capacity building. The aim is to provide a path reference for small and medium一scale farmers to achieve the coordination of ecological safety and economic stability in their stock enhancement activities.
