AbstractTo improve the quality of course teaching and students’core competencies,this study proposed and implemented 4 teaching reform measures targeting weaknesses in the Medicinal Botany course,including fragmented knowledge modules,insuficientpractical teaching,low classroom participation,and inadequate integrationof profesional educationand ideological-political education.A four-level knowledge system was constructed: cellorganindividual-population.Based on’plantdevelopmental biologyand secondarymetabolismtheories,thereform systematically integrated knowledge through dimensional teaching and typical case demonstrations.Athree一 dimensional practical training platformof“VR simulation-field practice-enterpriseinternship”was established,which strengthenedstudents’practical applicationabilitiesviavirtual simulationexperiments,field collectionand investigation,and full-process enterprise internships.Amixed teaching model of case-driven,problem-oriented, multimedia-assisted was innovatively adopted to enhance classoom interactionand student engagement by combining case teaching,heuristic inquiry,and intuitive multimedia presentation.The concept ofa communityof shared future for Chinese medicinalmaterials resources was integrated,andanideological-political integration path of“culturalidentityscientific spirit social responsibility” was constructed to realize the organic integration of professional education and valueguidance.Practiceshowed thatstudents’scientificresearch literacy,practicalability,andemployment competitiveness were greatly improved.The number of approved college students’innovation and entrepreneurship projects,as wellas the employment rate and further education rate of graduates,increased significantly.This study provides a reference for the teaching reform of relevant traditional Chinese medicine courses.
