Research on the control effect of predatory mites and pesticide combined control on apple pest mites and the impact on leaf damage

AbstractTo explore eficient and sustainable strategies for preventing and controlling apple pest mites,a field trial wasconducted inanappleplantation with cinnamon soil in Changzhi,Shanxi Province.4 treatments were established: release of predatorymitesalone (Neoseiuluscalifornicus 3O OoO heads/hm2),application of pesticidesalone ( 43% bifenazate 5mL+1.8%abamectin15mL,3OO0fold dilutionsolution),integrated controlcombining predatorymitesand pesticides,andablank control.The number of pest mites,pest reductionrate,leaf damage,and preventionand control costs of each treatment were analyzed.The results showedthat the integratedcontrol group had the lowest number of pest mites,at O.9 heads per leaf, which was 76.3% and 65.4% lower than the predatory mites alone group and the pesticides alone group,respectively. The pest population reduction rate reached 95.2% . The leaf damage rate was only 5.6%,5.8 and 12.6 percentage points lower than that of the pesticides alone group and the predatory mites alone group, respectively.Costanalysis indicatedthatthetotalcostofintegratedcontrol was1574 yuan/hm2,higherthanthatof the predatory mites alone group (1262yuan/hm2 ) and the pesticides alone group (841 yuan/hm²), but its overal pest control effectiveness wasoptimal.Thestudy demonstrated that the synergistic efectof predatorymitesand pesticides could achieve short-termrapid pestcontrol and long-term ecological balance maintenance,providing areference for green pest control of apple mites.
