Current status and optimization strategies of agricultural plant quarantine work in WujinDistrict

AbstractThis paper reviewed thecurrent status ofagricultural plant quarantine work in Wujin District, Changzhou City,Jiangsu Province,analyzed the diffculties and challenges itfaced,and proposed corresponding optimizationstrategies.Thestudyarea hasasuitableclimate,highdemandforthe transportof agriculturaland forestry seeds and plant products,which may poseacertain risk of invasionbyagricultural quarantine pests.The plant quarantine work inthis region requires further improvement in areas such as personnel teamdevelopment,transportation supervision models,and the capacityand qualityof pest monitoring.Atthe same time,plant quarantine work faces objectivechallnges,including pest introduction,and the need toenhancethecapacityforjoint prevention andcontrol. Based on these findings,strategies are proposed,including strengthening quarantine institutions andoptimizing team development;enhancing colaboration withseed departments to reasonablyutilizeseed registration data;increasing the intensityof plant quarantinepublicityandenhance theawarenessof thesignificanceof plantquarantinework; improving support capabilities to enhance monitoring and control levels; strengthening supervision of e-commerce and logisticsindustries toregulate the transportation of goods subject to inspection;and establishing joint preventionand control mechanisms to improve theefectiveness of pest management.This paper providesareference for the implementation of grassroots agricultural plant quarantine work.
