Coupling and Coordination Study of High-Quality Logistics Development and New-Type Urbanization： Evidence from 12 Prefecture-Level Cities in Gansu Province

Abstract：As a pilar industry in China，the high-qualitydevelopmentof the logistics industrycontributes to promoting coordinatedregional development.Basedon paneldata from12 prefecture-level cities in GansuProvince from2009 to 2023，this research systematicallyanalyzes the spatio-temporal evolution trajectoriesand sources of regionaldisparities in the coupling between high-qualitylogistics developmentand new-type urbanization，employing methods such as the entropy weight method，coupling coordination degree model，and Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition.Theresults showthat from 2009 to 2O23，the comprehensive evaluation indicesof high-qualitylogistics development and new-type urbanization in the studied cities exhibited a steadyupward trend，albeit with varying growth rates.During the same period，the coupling coordination degree between high-quality logistics development andnew-typeurbanization in the 12 prefecture-level cities in Gansu Province showed aconsistentupward trend but remained generalyatabarely coordinated stage.The Dagum Gini coeficient decomposition indicates thatinter-regional disparities are greater than intraregional disparities，with inter-regional diferences being the primary factorcontributing tothe disparityincoupling coordination degree.Thefindings provide valuable theoretical guidance for accuratelyunderstanding current development trends and optimizing future policy pathways.
