Research Progress on the Anti-Tumor Mechanism of Halofuginone

AbstractThe incidence and mortality rates of tumorsare increasing year byyear，seriously endangering human health.Theadvantagesof traditional Chinesemedicinein treating tumorsare prominent，especially in recent years，research on anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicines has atracted much atention.Halofuginone extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine Changshan（Dichroae Radix）has been proven to have a significantanti-tumor efect.Thisarticle reviews therole and mechanismof Halofuginone in treating tumors from aspects such as inhibiting tumor cell proliferation，inducing tumor cell apoptosis，inhibiting tumor angiogenesis，inhibiting tumor migrationand invasion，enhancing tumor sensitivity tochemoradiotherapy，and regulatingautophagyof tumorcels，withtheprospectof providing theoreticalandevidential basis for later clinical medication.
