AbstractNeurodegenerative diseases refer toa category of disorderscaused by the gradual degenerationor death of neurons in thecentral nervoussystem，including Alzheimer's disease（AD），Parkinson’s disease（PD）， Huntington’s disease（HD），and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis（ALS），etc.Recent studies have found that traditional Chinese medicine hasasignificant therapeutic effect on improving neurodegenerative diseases by regulating neuroinflammatoryresponses.Therefore，thisarticle reviews themechanism of action of neuroinflammation in various neurodegenerative diseases，and summarizes theresearch progressof traditional Chinese medicine monomer compounds，traditional Chinese medicine compound prescriptions，and acupuncture therapy inregulating neuroinflammation for the treatmentof neurodegenerative diseases，with the prospect of promotingtheoretical innovation and clinical practice breakthroughsof traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
