Effects of Sangzhu Yangzheng Herbal Tea(桑术养正饮)on Immune Function and Oropharyngeal Microorganisms of Population after SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Abstract Objective:To observe the effects of Sangzhu Yangzheng Herbal Tea(桑术养正饮)on the immune functionand oropharyngeal microorganismsof population after SARS-CoV-2 infection.Methods:Sixty subjects infected with the SARS-CoV-2 from December 7,2022 to December 31,2022 were recruited and divided into a control group and a traditional Chinese medicine group according to the random number table method,with 3O cases in each group.The traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with oral administration ofSangzhu Yangzheng Herbal Tea,while the control group received no intervention. The observation period was 2 weeks.The levels of T lymphocyte subsets(including the counts of CD3+ T cells,CD4+ T cells,and CD8+T cells) before observation andon the 14th day after observation were compared between the two groups.16S rRNA sequencing was performed on throat swab samples of patients inthe traditional Chinese medicine group before and after treatment respectively toevaluate thediversityandcompositionof oropharyngeal microbiota,and toconduct microbiota diference analysis.Results:On the 14th dayafter observation,the levelsof CD3+T cels,CD4+ Tcellsand CD8+T cels in the traditional Chinese medicine group all increased compared with those before treatment ( P<0.05 ).Thelevels of CD3 + T cells,CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells in the control group decreased compared with those before observation( P<0.05 ).On the 14th day after observation,the levels of CD3 + T cells,CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells in the traditional Chinese medicine group were higher than those in the control group(P
