PENG Peichu's Experience in Treatment of Advanced Prostate Cancer by Integrating Cold and Heat Therapies

AbstractThisarticle summarizes Professor PENG Peichu'sexperience in treating advanced prostate cancer byintegrating cold and heat therapies.Professor PENG believes thatthepathogenesisof advanced prostate canceris characterized byastheniainoriginand asthenia insuperficiality，especially with deficiency of bothyinandyang andinsufficiencyof thespleenand kidneysas therot causes，andcoldanddampness stagnation and acumulation of cancer toxins as the symptoms.The mixed pathogenesis of deficiency and excess results in the syndrome characteristics of cold and heat.In treatment，the combination of cold and heat therapies should be emphasized.For the pathogenesis of yin deficiency and accumulation'of cancer toxins，cold medicinalsshould be heavilyused to nourish yin，clear heatand detoxifycancer toxins.For the pathogenesisof insuficiencyof thespleenand kidneyand cold-dampness stagnation，hot medicinalsshould beheavilyused to warm and tonify the spleen and kidney and disperse cold accumulation.In clinical practice，the formulation of prescriptions emphasizes the integration of cold and hot medicinals，which can

stimulate the mutual stimulation of their properties， thereby achieving the goal of balancing yinand yangand harmonizing cold and heat.One test case isattached.
