Strength Optimization of the Second Beam in a Light Truck Frame Based on OptiStruct

Abstract:Inresponsetothefractureissueofthesecondbeamobservedduringthedurabilityroadreliabilitytestofacertainlight truckmodel,finiteeementsiulatioalysisdtizationoftsstregthrecoducted.Fstlytheultyompotsin spectedtodeterminewhetheritsqualitycharacteristicsmetthedesignrequirements.Simultaneouslystress testingwasperformedon thevehiclemodeltofcilitatesulatio-ttoelatioSecondlyrengthsimulatiaalysisodeloftecleasltsd onOptiStructtosmulatetheworkingconditionsofthefullvehicledurabilityroadreliabilitytestandanalyzethetressdistributionon thesecondbeam.Thesimulationresultsshowedthatundertorsionconditions,stressconcentrationoccuredintheweldingzonebetwenthesecondbeamanditsonnectingplate,whichasconsistentwiththestresstestresults.Consequentlyeveralfeasiblestruc turaloptimizationschemeswereproposedandcomparedtroughstrengthsimulationanalysis.Ultimately,consideringfactorssuchas strength,aufcurablitydostalutioseletedfoodblifainditsgtht ments.
