Analysis of the Lateral Stability of Electrically-driven Trailers

Abstract:Thispaperfocusesontheproblemoflateralinstabilitythatispronetooccurinelectricdrivetrailersduringdoublelane changemaneuvers,andconductsresearchontheirlateraltabilityandcontrolstrategies.Byestablishingavehicledynamicsmodelof thetractorandtheelectricall-driventrailer,acooperativecontroltrategybasedonnonlinearmodelpredictivecontrol(NMPC)nd adaptivestabilityboundarisisproposed.Thisstrategyachievesreal-timeoptimizationofthetorquediferencebetweentheleftand rightwhelsbydynamicallyadjustingteboundariesofthecenterofmassideslipangleandtheyawratetracking target,therebyenhancingthevehicle'slateralstabilitySimulationresultsunderthedoublelanechangeconditionshowthattheproposedcontroltrategy canefectivelyreducethepeakvaluesofthecenterofmassidslipngleandyawrateimprovethevehicle'strajectorytrackingability andanti-interfereperfoancepovingtoreticalspprtandtodologicaleferecfortectieetyotroloeltical ly-driven trailers.
