Investigation and Analysis of Wild Chinese (Zang)Medicinal Plant Resources in Ali Prefecture, Xizang

Abstract:ObjectiveThroughadetailedsurveyofwildresourcesacrosstheregion,thisstudyaims toclarifythedistributionof wildChinese(Zang)medicinalplantresourcesintheAliPrefectureofTibetItprovidesareferencefortheconservationandutilizationoftheseresources,thedevelopmentofcharacteristicTbetanmedicie,theprotectionofendangeredspecies,andtheforulation ofrelated industrialpoliciesandprotectivemeasures.MethodsOnthebasisoffieldinvestigation,specimenidentificationaddatabaseorganization,thewildChinese(Zang)medicinalplantresources inAliregionwereinvestigatedandanalyzed.ResultsAtotalof 780 species of wild Chinese(Zang)medicinalplants wererecordedinAli,belonging to 64familiesand247genera,including768 speciesofangiosperms,6speciesofferns,and6speciesof gymnosperms.Among them,1speciesarewildplantsundernational keyprotection,with3clasifiedasEN(Endangered)),2asCR(CriticallyEndangered),16asVU(Vulnerable),and16asNT (NearThreatened)bytheRedListandthreatassessmentcatalogs.Thedominantfamilies(suchasAsteraceae,Poaceae,Fabaceae, and seven others) account for over 60% of the total species ( 62.18% ),forming the main component of medicinal resources in Ali. Perennialherbsarethepredominantlifefor,constituting7.69%ofthetotalspecies.ConclusionThisstudypresets,forhefist time,comprehensivedataandmaterialsconceringwildmedicinalplantresourcesintheAliregionofTibet.Thesefindingsserveas foundationaldataforfutureassessmentsofplantresoucesintheregionandprovideessentialsupportfortheconservation,development,and utilization of local medicinal plants.
