Abstract：In traditional Chinese medicine，thereisaclosecorrespondencebetweenthetheoryof kidney-yinand kidney-yang andtheheoryofwaterandfirethegateoflife.Tispaperreviewsthhistoricaldevelopmentof thetheoryofkidney-yin，kidney yangandthewaterandfireofthegateoflife，expoundscorespondingrelationshipbetweenthefunctiosofteto，andtekidney yinandhewaterof thegateoflifearethebasicfoundationofyinfuidandthekidney-andthefireofthegateoflifeareboththe mainmotiveforceofyangqi.PathologicalinfluenceandtreatmentareinterrelatedZhangJiebin'stheory“mutualrotandutualreinforcement”andtheprincipleof“seeking yininyangandsekingyanginyin”areanalyzed.Thenexusof-gateoflifesystemis interpretedfromtheperspectiveofneuroendocie-immunenetworkThetheoreticalvalueisverifidbyclinicalapplicationen pausal syndrome and reproductive.
