Abstract：ObjectiveThepurposeof thisstudyistoclarifytheoriginoftheTibetanmedicieCeDunandlayasolidtheoretical foundationforitssubsequentdrugdevelopmentandrtionalutilization.Method Various methods wereemployed，includingreviewing ancientChineseherbalmedicines，sortingoutZngmedicalclasics，comparingChinesetranslated Zang medicineliterature，andcombiningplantmorphologicalcharacteritics，modernethnicpharmaceuticalresearch，ndexpertconsultation.ResultsThfirstssteatic verification yielded the following three key conclusions ① Clarified the evolution pattrns of seven appellations of CeDun in the three major dialect regions of Zang language; ② It has been clarified that the authentic product should be a specific species of Hedysarum in the legume family; ③ Corrected the misuse of whole plant medicine in modern clinical practice，and confirmed that only the parts and rhizomes havemedicinal value.Conclusion This studyconstructedabasic textualresearch modelfor Zang medicineCeDunandcorrectedthedescriptivebiases inliteraturesuchasChineseTbetanMateria Medica，providinghrbalsupportfortedvelopmentofualitystandards，pharmacological research，and authenticprotection.
