Abstract：ObjectiveEstablishqualtystandardsforMongolianmedicineHuangbai BaweiPowder.MethodsMicroscopicidenticationandthinlayerchromatographywereusedtoidentifygardenia，licorice，ndfragrantinkinHuangbaiBaueiPowder.Huangbi controlherb，berberinehydrochloridecontrolherb，Honghuacontrolherb，andpiperine wereusedtoidentifyHuangbai，Honghua， and Biba bythin-layer chromatography.Different developing agents，inspection methods，pre saturation time，sample size，and temperatureandhumiditywereinvestigated.HPLCmethodwasusedtodeterminethecontentofberberinein Mongolian medicine HuangbaiBauei Powder.Results Huangbai Bawei Powdershowedthesamespots in thecorrsponding positionsof Huangbai，Honghua， Biba，andcontrolmdicinalmateals，aswellaserberinehydrochlodespots.TeSDofteontentdeterinationmethodologyas 0.08% to 1.17% ，and the recovery rate was 102.0% to 103.4% 三 RSD=0.50% ， n=6 ）．A good linear relationship was observed in the range of 10-120μg/mL （ R2=0.999 3 ）． The RSD of precision，stability，and repeatability test results were 0.08% ， （20 1.17% ，and 0.98% ，respectively，all of which were within the limited range.The average contentof berberine hydrochloride in the simulated samples of three batches of Huangbai Bawei Powder is 12.53mg/g .Conclusion Fiber identification method can be used to identifygardenia，licorice，andfragrantinkinMongolianmedicineHuangbaiBaueiPowderThinlayeridentificationcanbeeford on Huangbai，Honghua，and Biba ，and the content of berberine hydrochloride in Huangbai can be determined. The method established inthisstudyiseasytooperate，sstronspeiicity，andaspracticalityforontrolerqualityintesofpecision，stabilityd peatability.Itcan provide a basis for establishingquality standards for Mongolian medicine Huangbai Bawei Powder.
