Application Effect of Whole-course High-quality Nursing Intervention in Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and its Influence on Quality of Life

Abstract： Objective To analyze the application effect of whole-course high-quality nursing intervention in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus and its influence on quality of life. Methods Totally 68 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus admitted to Lichuan County People's Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were divided into 34 patients in the control group and 34 patients in the study group according to the random number table method. Routine nursing intervention was performed in the control group， while whole-course high-quality nursing intervention was administered in the study group. Comparisons between the two groups were made in terms of blood glucose levels [fasting blood glucose （FBG）， 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose （2h PPG）， and glycosylated hemoglobin （HbA1c）]， adverse emotions [anxiety （SAS） and depression （SDS）]， quality of life （general health， mental health， emotional role， physical role， physical function， and social function）， pregnancy outcomes （polyhydramnios， postpartum hemorrhage infection， premature rupture of membranes， pregnancy-induced hypertension， preterm delivery， fetal malformation， macrosomia， neonatal hypoglycemia， and fetal distress）， and nursing satisfaction rate. Results Compared with the control group， the study group exhibited lower blood glucose levels （P<0.05）. In comparison with the control group， the study group had lower SAS and SDS scores， higher quality of life scores， more favorable pregnancy outcomes， and higher patient nursing satisfaction （P<0.05）. Conclusion The application effect of whole-course high-quality nursing intervention in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus is definite， as it can improve patients' blood glucose levels and adverse emotions， enhance their quality of life and nursing satisfaction rate， and optimize their pregnancy outcomes， thereby warranting clinical promotion.
