Effects of Flat Responsibility System Nursing on Clinical Symptoms and Respiratory Function of Patients with Bronchiectasis

(Department of Internal Medicine, Ganxian District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ganzhou 341100, Jiangxi, China) Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of flat responsibility system nursing on clinical symptoms and respiratory function in patients with bronchiectasis. Methods A total of 62 patients with bronchiectasis admitted to Ganxian District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ganzhou City from May 2022 to April 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and a study group using a random number table method, with 31 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing care, whereas the study group was treated with flat responsibility system nursing intervention. The two groups were compared in terms of respiratory function indexes [total lung capacity (TLC), maximal minute ventilation (MMV), functional residual capacity (FRC), maximal mid-expiratory flow (MMEF), and forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV 1 )], quality of life (vitality, physical role, emotional role, and social function), the time required for improvement of clinical symptoms (cough, pulmonary rales, and dyspnea), as well as nursing satisfaction.
