Analysis of efficacy of 5 pesticides, including pyraclostrobin·fluxapyroxad, in controlling powdery mildew on edible rose

Abstract To screen out highly effective and low-toxicity pesticides for controlling powdery mildew on edible roses, the edible rose variety ‘Mohong’ was selected as the research object. With water serving as the blank control (CK), the disease index and control efficacy of 5 low-toxicity fungicides (42.4% pyraclostrobin·fluxapyroxad at 2 000 times dilution, 20% triadimefon at 1 200 times dilution, 40% difenoconazole·pyraclostrobin at 2 000 times dilution, 75% trifloxystrobin·tebuconazole at 3 000 times dilution, 50% kresoxim-methyl at 4 000 times dilution) were compared for controlling powdery mildew on edible roses. The results showed that 7 days after the second administration of the drug, the disease index of the treatment group (1.43–2.01) was lower than that of the CK group (6.53), with an efficacy ranging from 69.2% to 78.1%. Treatment 5 had the highest efficacy (78.1%), while treatment 2 had the lowest (69.2%). 7 days after the third administration of the drug, the disease index of the treatment group (1.98–2.35) was lower than that of the CK group (9.96), and the efficacy ranged from 76.4% to 80.1%. The efficacy of treatment 5 was 80.1%, the efficacy of the second treatment was 7.20 percentage points higher than that of the treatment 1. Overall, it indicated that all 5 treatments had certain control effects on rose powdery mildew. Among them, 50% kresoxim-methyl at a concentration of 4 000 times was the most effective, while the 20% triadimefon diluted at a concentration of 1 200 times had the poorest efficacy. This study provides a reference for the comprehensive prevention and control of rose powdery mildew.
