Abstract：Isodonamethystoides（Benth）Hara，amedicinal plant，iswidelyusedforitspharmacologicalpropertiesincluding heat-clearing，etoxification，loodctivating，stasisesolvingantibacterialandantiflammatoryectssicalo stituentsprimarilyompssditepends，ritepenods，igan，ndglyosides，hichebitdveseioaciviiRecntdan ments inpharmacognostic studies，thin-layerchromatography（TC），high-performance liquidchromatography（HPLC），anddata processingmethodologieshavesignificantlyenhancedqualitycontrolpracticesforsodonamethystoides.ThisreviewsystematicallsummarizestepharmacologicalactionsofIsodonspeciesimingtoprovideasienticfoundationforfurthedevelopmentandtilization of its medicinal potential.
