A Case of Treating Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome by Shengyang Chushi Fangfeng Decoction

Abstract：Diarrea-predominantiitablebowelsyndromeisachronicfunctionalboweldisordercharacterizedmainlybyabdominalpainanddiarrea.Itfallsunderthecategoriesof“abdominalpain”“abdominaldistension”and“diarha”intraditioal Chinesemedicine.Themostcommoncauseisdampnessostructingthespleen，andtheclinicaltreatmentofteninvolves“drainingdampnessandpromotingdiuresis”.Inthiscase，thepatienthasbensuferingfromdiarreaforalongtime，Afterthetraditionalmethod of“removingdampness”wasinefetive，focusingonitscharacteristicssuchas“drymouth，biter mouth”“limbfatigue，poorappetite”“urgencyandheaviness，andporbowel movements”.Reclasifythesyndromeas“spleen deficiencyanddampnestagnation syndrome”，thecorepathogenesisistheimbalanceoftheascendinganddescendingfunctionsofthespleenandstomach，withthe backyinorificeunabletodistinguishbetweeclearandturbid，usingShengyangChushiFangfengDecoction withmodicationsfor treatment，which can relieve dampness，stop diarrhea，and cure the disease quickly.
