Studyon WaterExtraction Processand Determination of Three Active Componentsin YaoMedicinePittosporumpauciflorum

Abstract:ObjectiveToestablishamethodfordeterminingthetotalflavonoidcontentintheYaoMedicinePitosporumpaucifl rumsystematicallyinvesigate teateretrctionprocsofPitospompaucifom,sreeaneftandtableeactoo, andquantifythecontentsofneochlorogenicacid,chlorogenicacid,andsyrigaldehydeinitswaterextract.MethodsSinglefactor experiments and an L9(33) orthogonal testdesign were employed,withdry extractyield and totalflavonoid content as evaluation indices,tooptimizetheliquidto-materialratio,extractiontie,andxtractionfrequency.Hgh-performanceliquidchromatograpy (HPLC)wasused todeterminetheconcentrationsof neochlorogenicacid,chlorogenicacid,andsyringaldehyde.Results Theoptimalextractionconditionswereidentifidasthreecyclesofoilingwith1-foldwaterfor4OminuteseachThecontentsofnhloo genic acid,chlorogenic acid,and syringaldehyde in the Pitosporum pauciflorum water extract were determined to be 0.3789mg/g , (20 1.7608mg/g ,and 0.0646mg/g ,respectively.Conclusion This study established,forthe first time,a method for quantifying total flavonoidsinPitospompuciflomndtiedable,twatrextractiopross.dditioally,tecotentsofcl rogenicacid,chlorognicacid,andsyingaldehdeinPitosporumpucifloumweresucsfulldeterind,providingafodation for further research and quality control of this Yao Medicine.
